According to Gartner, the pace of employee turnover is forecast to be 50–75% higher than companies have experienced previously, and the issue is compounded by it taking 18% longer to fill roles than pre-pandemic. In addition, companies are increasing their commitments to diversity but failing to assess for equity-related issues and retain diverse talent. Given retention is a priority for both talent management and diversity, equity, and inclusion, leaders must think about comprehensive and inclusive retention plans to keep their best talent. Improved retention leads to improved employee performance, staff culture, organizational resource management, and community reputation.
